NOTE: We look forward to supporting your use of E-ATRC resources as you learn about assistive technology and complete assignments for WCE courses. In the interest of minimizing costs and sustaining renewable resources, be mindful of these policies:
E-ATRC Item Checkout
Individuals interested in learning more about AT may check out items from our tools library for use in their courses or to use in practicum / internship settings. You will need your WWU student ID card to set up an account. Most items are due within 2 weeks of checkout.
Community families and educators are welcome to come and view our Community AT Lending Library and can borrow items to try with individuals with whom they live and/or work. Please e-mail Natalie Newman to make an appointment to speak directly about AT tools that may benefit the individual.
Use of E-ATRC Computers and SMART Boards
The E-ATRC houses a small computer lab consisting of 6 workstations and 2 SMART Interactive White Boards. We are here to help you learn how to use our resources. Because our capacity (computers and staff) is limited, please do not wait until your assignments are due to access the E-ATRC.
Use of E-ATRC Color Printer
Coloring printing is allowed only when you utilize the E-ATRC’s specialized software to create materials. We reserve the right to limit the number of color copies you print of your materials.
Please do not ask to print other materials in color.
Consider these options to minimize the need for multiple color copies:
- provide a copy for every other participant – have them work in pairs
- print duplicate pages in black & white (unlimited, within reason)
- e-mail the document to your peers or other group members
- post the document online for others to print, if they choose
Use of E-ATRC Laminator
Use of E-ATRC laminator is allowed only when you utilize the E-ATRC’s specialized software to create materials. We reserve the right to limit the number of pages you laminate. Please do not ask to laminate other materials.
