Internal Scholarships

Janis and Wes Peterson Student Teaching Fund
  • Several awards of $500 are issued quarterly to support costs associated with participating in your student teaching internship. Financial need is NOT a requirement to be considered for this scholarship.
  • An invitation to apply will be sent by the Director of Office of Field Experience at the start of Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. Awards are issued at the end of each quarter.
Claudia Huntsinger 
  • Several awards of $1000 are issued quarterly to support costs associated with participating in your student teaching internship. Financial need is required for this scholarship.
  • An invitation to apply will be sent by the Director of Office of Field Experience at the start of Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. Awards are issued at the end of each quarter.
Skagit Island-San Juan School Retirees Association Scholarship
  • Awards of $1000 are issued to students enrolled in a Woodring Education program who are currently or will soon be student teaching. Financial need and academic merit are requirements for this scholarship.

Bertha E Crawford

One award of $1600 is issued each year in June to a candidate who has demonstrated exceptional teaching skills in their internship. Nominations are submitted by Field Supervisors/UIC to the Director of Office of Field Experience.
