Secondary Education Student Teaching Internship Calendar Fall 2026

START DATE  

Interns begin when their Cooperating Teacher (CT) returns after summer break.  Check with CT to confirm this date.

During this term, follow the school/district calendar.
It is the responsibility of the intern to know and follow the schedule(s) of the particular school/district to which they have been assigned. Interns do not follow WWU’s schedule with respect to holidays, breaks, etc.

Internship Timeline Due to UIC

This document is due at the end of week 2, therefore this due date may need to be adjusted to account for an earlier or later start date.

MIDTERM Evaluation Due to OFE
Midterm conferences should occur October 12-16 

Hours Log Due to UIC
Log all hours through October 16 in the WWU Hours Log and submit proof to UIC

Last Official Day for intern

Hours Log Due to UIC
Log all hours through December 4 in WWU Hours Log and submit proof to UIC
 

Interns must spend at least 14 weeks with students, and therefore the last day varies based on school/district calendar. The intern may continue until the school/district Winter Break if desired.

FINAL Documents Due to OFE
Final evaluation conferences should occur November 30-December 4

  Self-Assessment
  PGP, signed by intern and UIC
