Bio:
Saraswati Noel is an Assistant Professor in Multilingual Education at Western. Her current work focuses on on supporting multilingual learners in mathematics. She previously was a middle school and high school math teacher at a school centered on supporting recent immigrants and refugees to the U.S. Saraswati’s research draws on Critical Race Theory, Intersectionality and Discourse Analysis to explore how high school multilingual language learners of color experience low-track mathematics courses.
