About

About Human Services

The Human Services major is a program that combines academic work and field experiences [internship(s)] culminating in a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and graduates who have human services experience and are ready for the field. Our website states that human services is a "combination of social work and psychology" - it is a professional, generalist degree and employment after graduation is extremely high (95%+). There are three programs within this major: an in-person program (Bellingham campus); a hybrid program (in-person and online) at our Everett campus, and a fully online distance learning program.

For people interested in serving, advocating, and empowering individuals and communities - this major and the students, faculty, and staff within the major are passionate about this work and the field.

About Field Studies

Woodring College of Education's Human Services program is passionate about our students and communities. We have deep appreciation for those that partner with us to provide human services interns high quality internships, preparing them for professional human services jobs after graduation. If you are interested in partnering with us, please contact me, and/or if you have any questions, ideas, or needs you may have as a faculty, student, and/or as part of our greater Bellingham and Whatcom county communities.

Looking forward to our work together,
Christina
