Dr. Verónica Vélez Awarded 2020 Excellence in Teaching Award

Dr. Vélez is an Associate Professor in Secondary Education and the Founding Director of WWU’s Education and Social Justice Minor. Her work broadly analyzes the causes of racial inequities in education, and how they impact the educational trajectories of Students of Color, particularly Latinxs students.
