Special Education Students

Open to undergraduate students majoring in special education and graduate students in the Masters in Education Exceptional Children program. Financial need considered. Must be committed to working in special education. Post-Bac students are NOT eligible.

Applicants must be admitted to the elementary or special education program who are preparing to earn an endorsement in early childhood or early childhood special education. No minimum GPA is required. *Include a paragraph in your essay on how you would address the specific interests and needs of preschool and primary students. Post-Bac students are eligible.

Award: $1500

Applicants must be admitted to a teacher education program planning to teach special education, math or science. Must demonstrate financial need (please submit a statement of financial need). Preference is for applicants who are just starting the certification program. May be renewable for a second year. Post-Bac students are eligible.

Amount: One award of $1500

Applicants must be enrolled in the Woodring Special Education program. Award will be based on financial need, not on academic performance. (Please submit a statement of financial need)
