Dr. Perzigian is professor and chair of Education Leadership and Inclusive Teaching. He directs the Woodring Multilingual Special Education Scholars (MSPED) grant-funded pathway to MLE/SPED teaching endorsements for South Seattle school employees. He directs the dual endorsement special education and elementary education program in Bellingham as well.
His research examines the efficacy of alternative school environments (e.g., behavior reassignment programs) and ways in which social-emotional learning predicts academic performance for students with high-incidence disabilities. In his current project Dr. Perzigian is studying the impact of service learning in alternative high schools.
