About

I graduated from WWU’s MA in Rehabilitation Counseling program in 2012 and in the last couple years have come back to teach. My day job is as a Mental Health Clinical Supervisor in a community mental health agency where many of the clientele have addictions as well as mental health difficulties. I was born with spina bifida, so use a wheelchair. My experience as a Disabled person informs how I understand systems of power and privilege, which I then bring into both my teaching and my counseling. When I am not at work or teaching, I enjoy being outside, walking the dog, reading, and socializing.
