About
The College of Education prepares amazing teachers and special education professionals through their dual endorsement programs. I am fortunate to contribute to this achievement by ensuring our graduates are grounded in the five big ideas of reading, including the use of effective SBRR methods. My academic focus is teaching about and research in reading with an emphasis upon teaching how we can support students in schools and in the community who have less efficient reading strategies, including students with learning/reading disability. I am always open to hear from college students, parents of children with reading difficulty, and colleagues who would like to join with me to discuss and collaborate in all aspects of reading. After more than 30 years, I am still passionate about this field.
