Classes and Research
- Dr. McClanahan teaches graduate and undergraduate secondary methods courses as well as courses focusing on content area and media literacy.
- She serves as an advisor to the Master's in Teaching program.
- Dr. McClanahan’s research interest focuses on critical media literacy. Specifically, she works closely with 6-12 grade teachers to create curriculum designed to engage students in critical media production. She is the Executive Director of the Bellingham Youth Media Project.
