Woodring Professor Selected for Fulbright Scholar
Dr. Jennifer Green, Director of the ELL/Bilingual Education Endorsement Program, has been selected to be a Fulbright Scholar. She will be a Fulbright Scholar for the Palestinian Territories (West Bank) for the 23-24 school year.
Fulbright Scholar Awards are prestigious and competitive fellowships that provide unique opportunities for scholars to teach and conduct research abroad. Fulbright scholars also play a critical role in U.S. public diplomacy, establishing long-term relationships between people and nations. Alumni include 62 Nobel Laureates, 89 Pulitzer Prize winners, 78 MacArthur Fellows, and thousands of leaders and world-renowned experts in academia and many other fields across the private, public, and non-profit sectors.
Independent research and participant surveys confirm that Fulbright exchange experiences lead to greater international co-publication, continued international exchange, and stronger cross-cultural communication skills.
Fulbright awards are designed to primarily cover in-country expenses related to specific projects, and we recognize that by providing course coverage, continued benefits, salary supplements, and other support, Scholars’ home institutions play an important role in enabling them to accept the award and take full advantage of this opportunity.
