Woodring College of Education's Technology Education Center (WTEC) consists of 2 labs and a resource center in the basement of Miller Hall. Facilities include a computer lab of 30 iMacs, a collaborative classroom with multiple SMART Boards and moveable furniture, and a help desk specifically designed to assist Instructional Technology (IT) students with their projects. The help desk is staffed by knowledgeable student consultants who assist students with questions as well as loan out various kinds of computer equipment.
Miller Hall 034 is home to the Technology Education Center (WTEC) and Help Desk where friendly lab consultants are available to answer questions or loan out equipment. MH 034 offers MacBook Pro laptops, Chromebooks, iPads and other technology equipment for checkout.
Miller Hall 035 has two SMART Boards, moveable tables and chairs, and a podium with a projector. Connected to the projector is a SMART Board, document camera, and cables to connect a laptop. This room can be reserved by students, faculty or staff. Call the WTEC at x3318 to reserve the room. Across the hall, MH 034 has MacBook Pro's, Chromebooks, iPads and other equipment available for checkout. A cart containing 15 MacBook Pro's can be wheeled into MH 035. It is designed to help future educators see other models of instruction with technology.
Miller Hall 039 is an iMac lab jointly operated by ATUS and Woodring College of Education's Instructional Technology program. This lab, located in the basement of Miller Hall, contains 30 iMacs running Mac OS X as well as educational software designed to help the future educator.
