Residency ESA Certification (School Counselor)
The Residency Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate (First Issue) endorsed in the role of School Counselor is issued by OSPI upon verification by the Woodring Certification Office that these requirements are met:
- A master's degree with a major in counseling, earned through a regionally accredited college or university.
- Evidence of good moral character and personal fitness.
- Successful completion of the WWU Residency School Counselor Program including coursework, a faculty supervised practicum, a supervised internship in the schools, a written comprehensive exam, and a draft professional growth plan.
