Admission for fall quarter 2016 has closed.
Along with applying to the Human Services program, transfer students with a DTA from an accredited community college must also apply to Western Washington University. Plan to apply to Human Services and WWU at the sam time. Current WWU students need only submit the Human Services Program Application.

All returning students should include a personal statement explaining the reasons for leaving and returning to Western as well as an academic plan of study which outlines the courses to be taken.
Current WWU, Transfer, and returning students must complete the

|2. Once an applicant has been offered admission to the program he/she must initiate and successfully complete a background check. Successful completion of the background check. Applicants are responsible for this expense (approximately $55.00) and will be able to view their results online. In some rare instances, fingerprinting may be required ($0-$20). Failure to successfully complete the background check process will result in the disruption, delay, and/or denial of the students' ability to continue in the major. In the event questions arise about your background check results, you will be contacted by the program manager or department chair. |
Applicants concerned about their personal history and whether or not it will disqualify them from being accepted to the program should review the Prohibited Convictions page and are encouraged to initiate a background check prior to applying to the program.

TIP: Apply early!
Transfer students with a completed Direct Transfer Agreement (AA degree) are especially encouraged to apply as early as possible, since a decision can often be made more quickly in some cases.
