Hazel Lowrey Anderson Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be undergraduate students with academic standing as a junior or senior or enrolled full-time in a post-baccalaureate program at the time of the award. Applicants must be in the top third of their class, majoring in elementary education. Financial need is required (please submit a statement of financial need). Post-Bac students are eligible. Special education dual endorsement students are NOT eligible.

Horn Teacher Education Scholarship

Applicants must be admitted to a teacher education program planning to teach special education, math or science. Must demonstrate financial need (please submit a statement of financial need). Preference is for applicants who are just starting the certification program. May be renewable for a second year. Post-Bac students are eligible.

Irene and Lloyd Williams Education Scholarship

Applicants must intend to teach in a general classroom at the elementary or secondary level.  Applicants must be residents of Washington State. Preference is given to public high school graduates from Arlington, Marysville and Snohomish school districts. Applicants must demonstrate financial need (please submit a statement of financial need), a history of community service and high academic performance. Post-Bac students are eligible.

Knapp-Lancaster Book Award Scholarship

Applicants must be undergraduates enrolled in a teacher education program with academic standing as a junior or senior for the academic year of the award. A minimum cumulative 3.3 grade point average. Post-Bac students are NOT eligible.

Lucille McGhee Linn Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be undergraduate students with academic standing as a junior or senior for the academic year of the award. Applicants must be enrolled in the elementary education program.  They must be a transfer student with an Associate of Arts degree and a minimum 3.5 GPA. Post-Bac and students enrolled in the Special Education dual endorsement program are not eligible.

Lynne Michel Jangard Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Applicants must major in Early Childhood Education, plan to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education in a primary school setting, have outstanding academic merit in the ECE program at Woodring, and clearly demonstrate financial need. Please submit a statement of financial need. Award may be used to any costs related to education expense, including, but not limited to: tuition, books, materials/supplies, etc.

Mann Challenge Scholarship*

Amount: $5000 per year, may be renewed each year as long as the student is meeting program requirements for up to four years.

Applicants:

  • must identify as male
  • must have participated in the Maestros Para el Pueblo program at Skagit Valley College
  • must intend to enroll in or be admitted to a teacher education program. 
  • must have financial need.
