Rehabilitation Services Administration Scholarship*

Award: Full cost of tuition

Recipients must be admitted to the Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling program prior to receiving the award. Upon graduation, the RSA Scholar is required to work for a state vocational rehabilitation agency, agency for the blind, tribal vocational rehabilitation program, or other related program. The payback requirement is two years of work for each year of financial assistance received.

Applicants must be a Woodring College Human Services major; preference is given to a non-traditional aged student (25 years or older); preference given to a student with financial need. Please submit a short statement of financial need.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide support for students in the RN-to-BSN program with a preference for those applicants who live in Whatcom County or graduated from a Whatcom County high school and are interested in serving the community health needs of diverse populations.  Recipients apply through the RN-to-BSN program.

Evelyn Schuler Scholarship for Nursing *

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support for outstanding students in the RN-to-BSN program.  The award may be used to pay any costs related to educational expenses, including, but not limited to, tuition, books, materials/supplies, etc.  Apply through the RN-to-BSN program.

The purpose of this award is to provide support to students of Woodring College of Education.  Preference is given to seniors (or fifth year seniors) in elementary education, who are deserving students of average ability. 

Roberta Bouverat Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this award is to provide support for incoming students applying to the Early Childhood Education program. Preference to be made to applicants who: (1) clearly demonstrate a financial need; (2) demonstrate outstanding academic merit; and (3) typify an underrepresented group in the program (i.e., students from a diverse background including, but not limited to, considerations of racial and/or ethnic identities, first generation college students, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic challenges, etc.).
