Amount: $1500

Awarded for term of full-time student teaching only. Applicants must be in good standing in an elementary program on campus (not open to students in other sites) and preparing to teach in a regular elementary classroom setting. Applicants must be working their way through college and demonstrate financial need (please submit a statement of financial need). Post-Bac students are eligible. Special Education dual endorsement students are NOT eligible.

Open to any student enrolled in a Woodring elementary or secondary teacher education program who can demonstrate their potential for becoming effective classroom teachers.  Post-Bac students are eligible.

Woodring College Elementary Education Scholarship

Gramm Family Graduate Fellowship

Amount: Two awards of $1000

Applicant must be a graduate student in Woodring College of Education or admitted to a graduate student program. The student must demonstrate financial need and be accomplished in academic studies. Preference will be given to students who are intending to reside and work in the state of Washington for a period of two years following graduation. Please include a statement of financial need and intent to meet the criteria.

John and Elizabeth Terrey Scholarship

Applicants must be admitted to the Adult & Higher Education (AHE) master's program with an emphasis in teaching at the Community College level prior to receiving the award. Recipients will be selected based on need and outstanding academic promise as a community college faculty member. Please provide a statement of financial need.

John Dewey Graduate Student Scholarship

Applicants must be admitted to the Graduate School, have a minimum of 1 quarter completed and be enrolled as either part or full-time. Applicants must also demonstrate outstanding academic achievement as evidenced by undergraduate GPA from junior and senior years, as determined by the Scholarship Selection Committee on a year to year basis.

McCallum Graduate Fellowship *

The McCallum Graduate Fellowship is designated to support graduate student professional development by providing funds for travel to conferences, workshops, or other training events. Funds are available to support registration fees, travel costs, lodging and meals (within state and/or federal per diem allocations) for a total request not to exceed $1000.
